Core has announced that the new Microsoft Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch, both powered by Snapdragon X Plus processors, are now available to the South African business market.

Core said that as Microsoft’s official commercial distributor for Surface in South Africa, it is providing access to the new devices. 

Copilot+ PC’s 

This, it said, offers resellers and businesses real-time stock availability through next-day delivery, competitive trade pricing and the full suite of support services. 

“This next-generation lineup of Copilot+ PCs marks a bold step into the future of computing for South African businesses, delivering exceptional performance, advanced security and harnessing the full potential of Hybrid AI to maximise productivity,” Core said.  

The new Copilot+ PCs, with built-in Neural Processing Units (NPUs) enable on-device AI processing, unlock intelligent experiences across Windows 11, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and a growing ecosystem of AI-enhanced applications. 

“The compact, powerful design of these new devices, along with Snapdragon’s energy-efficient architecture, ensures powerful performance and all-day productivity for on-the-go professionals across multiple industries,” Core said. 

“They are additionally equipped with the built-in Microsoft Pluton security processor, which activates automatically to safeguard sensitive business data and ensure end-to-end protection, even if a device is misplaced. “

AI

“Hybrid AI is the future,” said John Press, Microsoft Surface Business Unit Head at Core. “With Copilot+ PCs, we’re delivering performance, intelligence, and battery life that redefine what’s possible for professionals, students, and creators in South Africa.”

Core said the Surface for Business range provides flexibility for every working style. 

“The Surface Laptop is a sleek and dependable choice for everyday productivity, while the Surface Pro offers the versatility of a tablet with the performance of a laptop.” 

For professionals who need to stay connected on the move, Microsoft will launch the Surface Laptop with 5G later this year. 

Availability

The Surface Pro 12-inch and Surface Laptop 13-inch are now available for order through Core’s authorised reseller network and Microsoft partners across South Africa.
