With the Mobile World Conference (MWC) kicking off in Barcelona on Monday, HONOR’s presence at the event was headlined by its “Augmented Human Intelligence” (AHI) vision, marking a shift from digital AI to “embodied AI” that interacts with the physical world.

The MWC which continues until Thursday, is expected to showcase innovative technology from several major tech players including HONOR, Huawei, Techno and Samsung among others.

Honor held a global launch event at MWC on Sunday where it premiered of the HONOR Robot Phone and HONOR Magic V6, alongside other new devices.

The company said beyond hardware, it believes in AI’s future, committed to shaping a “smarter, more connected world.”

HONOR Robot Phone

The robot phone is a conceptual and experimental “new species” of smartphone featuring a motorized, three-axis gimbal camera arm.

Visually, the ‘smartphone’ looks like a state-of-the-art phone, but attached to it by a mechanical arm is a small capsule that unfolds with a camera, giving the impression of being the head of a robot.

It can physically move, “nod” or “shake” its head in response to the user, and follow subjects automatically for video calls or vlogging.

“It’s a revolution between humans and machines” at a time when “AI is transforming the world at breakneck speed,” HONOR President James Li emphasized during his presentation, though he did not specify the price.

It is expected to go on sale in China in the second half of 2026.

HONOR Magic V6

With many companies launching their flagships this year, HONOR unveiled the Magic V6, a new flagship foldable that sets a record for thinness at 8.75mm when closed.

It features a massive 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, and is the first foldable with an IP69 rating.

“We’ve engineered HONOR Magic V6 to be the best companion an Apple user could ask for. One-tap file sharing between Mac and iPhone. Full AirPods feature support,” HONOR said.

“One unified notification stream across HONOR Magic V6, iPhone, and Apple Watch. Welcome to a world without boundaries.”

Humanoid Robot

HONOR also surprised the audience with its first humanoid robot, which performed a dance and a backflip on stage.

Wired2Tech saw something similar during a visit to HONOR’s Alpha Store last year.

The humanoid robot is designed as a “service robot” for tasks like shopping assistance, workplace inspections, and domestic companionship. This is a clear indication that the future will see a lot more of the menial tasks being taken care off by humanoid robots.

MagicPad 4

HONOR also unveiled an ultra-thin 4.8mm tablet with a 12.3-inch 3K 165Hz OLED display and Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor. The device comes a few days after Huawei unveiled its first ever mini tablet, the Huawei MatePad Mini.

Its compact 8.8 inch design makes it ideal for productivity on the go, whether reviewing documents, reading, or creating content while travelling.

MagicBook Pro 14

HONOR also unveiled a new laptop powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors, featuring a 14.6-inch OLED display and deep AI integration with the Honor ecosystem.

Strategic vision: “Alpha Plan”

HONOR’s 2026 showcase is a continuation of the Alpha Plan.

The company’s goal is to create a “human-machine synergized future” where AI is people-centered, combining IQ with emotional intelligence (EQ).

This ecosystem is supported by new cross-brand compatibility tools aimed at attracting users from other platforms like Apple.

AI

HONOR said AI is reshaping everything.

“As a pioneer, HONOR has taken the lead in deploying DeepSeek on devices, and is engaging in deep global collaboration with Gemini.”

HONOR is said it committed to bringing more “joy, love, and intelligence to everyone’s life through design, innovation, and a seamlessly interconnected AI ecosystem.”
