Imagine a smartphone so tough that you can break peanuts with it, dunk it in water and if the screen breaks, you can get it repaired for free for a year.
Stop imagining because Honor has followed up the success of its robust X9c with the Honor X7d.
Retailing at R3 999, the Honor X7d appeals to the youth and users who want a smartphone that can handle life’s everyday challenges.
Budget friendly
The Honor X7d which features a 6.77″ TFT LCD display, (1610×720) is a budget-friendly smartphone known for its durability, large battery capacity, and capable performance.
It competes in the crowded budget and mid-range smartphone market, primarily against models from Samsung with its Galaxy A07 5G and Galaxy A26 including Xiaomi (its sub-brands Redmi), and Realme.
Robust
Honor claims the X7d features drop and crush resistance, surviving drops from heights of up to 1.8 metres.
“Its reinforced Rhinoceros-like structural design, Cushioning and Fall Protection Architecture, and Decentralised Force Design ensure protection from impacts in all directions, Honor said.
However, we are yet to get our hands to try out and see if Honor’s confidence is on par.

After sales
If something does happen to the Honor X7d, the company is priding itself on after sales service.
Honor is offering customers its after services package, with benefits such as the Honor Care 3-month screen protection benefit and support which allows you complete your device maintenance without leaving your home, with free shipping to the repair centre provided.
“At Honor, we’re committed to democratising technology and giving consumers devices that empower them to do more for less,” says Fred Zhou, CEO of Honor South Africa.

Camera
The Honor X7s boasts a 50MP wide-angle camera, and 2PM depth sensing camera. For selfies, there is a 5MP shooter on the front.
Battery
With 35W Honor SuperCharge, the device quickly powers up for extended use, while its double-cell battery structure and multi-point temperature monitoring ensure efficiency and safety across extreme temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C.
The new instant AI button is convenient, with dual functionality. A single click allows users to launch custom apps or optimise background performance, while a long press activates features such as AI Eraser, AI Translation, and AI Creation.
The Honor X7d is powered by MagicOS 9.0 (based on Android 15), driven by the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor.
