Limited Run Games, in collaboration with Marvel Games and Konami Digital Entertainment (KONAMI), has announced the launch of the Marvel MaXimum Collection.
The Marvel MaXimum Collection is a compilation of six classic Marvel titles now available to download on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series XS, and PlayStation 5.
The new Marvel MaXimum collection is likely to be a hit among gamers and those who want titles across various gaming platforms.
Revival
It revives some of the most iconic games from the golden age of arcade, 8-bit, and 16-bit consoles, offering fans a nostalgic yet enhanced experience.
With multiple versions of select titles included, players can relive the thrill of X-Men: The Arcade Game, Captain America and The Avengers, Spider-Man/Venom: Maximum Carnage, Venom/Spider-Man: Separation Anxiety, Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge, and the notoriously challenging Silver Surfer.

Games
Each game has been faithfully preserved while benefiting from modern upgrades. Features such as rewind and save states, customizable display options, and a digital archive of original box art and manuals ensure that the collection appeals to both long-time fans and new players.
A built-in music player also allows gamers to enjoy the iconic chip-tune soundtracks outside of gameplay.
Highlights include full online multiplayer support for up to six players in X-Men: The Arcade Game, multiple platform versions of Captain America and The Avengers, and the gritty Genesis/Mega Drive take on Maximum Carnage.
Handheld versions
Handheld versions of Arcade’s Revenge are also included, showcasing Marvel’s early ventures into portable gaming.
“Whether you grew up with a controller in your hand or a roll of quarters in your pocket, the Marvel MaXimum Collection is one for the True Believers,” Limited Run Games said.
The digital edition is available now, while physical versions can be pre-ordered until 24 May 2026, with shipping expected later this year.
