Oppo is on the move with the launch of the A6 Pro 5G in South Africa and the unveiling of the premium Find X series phone in the coming weeks.
According to OPPO, the midrange A6 Pro 5G features exceptional battery life, is durable and powerful.
“South Africans lead dynamic lives and their smartphones should do the same,” said Bradley Young, Head of Retail at OPPO South Africa.
“With the A6 Pro 5G, we are delivering a device that lasts longer, performs better and inspires confidence in every moment. It is designed for people who want a phone that works as hard as they do.”
Battery
OPPO said the A6 Pro 5G is powered by a 6 500 mAh ultra-large battery.
“Users can enjoy up to 20.6 hours of YouTube playback, 40.3 hours of calls, and 29 hours of WhatsApp voice calls on a single charge. The battery is built to last, retaining over 80 percent of its capacity after five years of regular use.”

Rugged
The company also highlighted the ruggedness of the A6 Pro, saying it combines “toughness with refined design.”
“It is IP69 certified for water and dust resistance and meets military-grade shock protection standards. Its internal frame is made from AM04 high-strength aluminium alloy, while the exterior is reinforced with AGC DT Star D Plus Crystal Shield Glass, both tested to withstand drops, pressure and daily wear.
“At just 8 mm thin and 185 g, it blends durability with style, showing that a tough phone can still look elegant, OPPO said.
Availability
The device features a 120 Hz AMOLED with a peak brightness of 1400 nits,
The OPPO A6 Pro 5G is available in Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue and Coral Pink.
In terms of recommended pricing, the A6 Pro 5G is listed at R10,999 for variants with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.
