South Africans will have another flagship smartphone to choose from after OPPO unveiled its much-anticipated Find X9 Pro in the country.
It was unclear if the device would arrive on South African shores following the global launch on 28 October.
Price
Now that we know the Find X9 Pro is coming to South Africa, it will be competing in a market with Samsung, Huawei and Honour.
The Find X9 Pro will be available on 7 November, exclusively at Vodacom stores nationwide for a recommended retail price of R 29 999.
Design philosophy

Battery
The OPPO X9 Pro is powered by a massive 7,500 mAh Silicon Carbon Battery with 80W SUPERVOOC wired and 50W AIRVOOC wireless charging.
In terms of cameras, the OPPO X9 Pro introduces the Hasselblad Master Camera System, featuring the 200MP Hasselblad Telephoto Camera. It will be interesting to see how it measures up to the Huawei Pura 8 Pro’s camera which has been hailed among users.
Free gift box
The internals of the OPPO X9 Pro include a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor and ColorOS, while AI features include AI Mind Space for intelligent memory collection and summarisation, AI Recorder for automatic summaries, and AI Portrait Glow for low-light shots.

Customers who buy the OPPO X9 Pro OPPO Exclusive Gift Box valued at R9 999, which comes with a 50W AirVOOC wireless charger, an 80W SUPERVOOC charger, a magnetic phone case, the OPPO Watch X2 and an OPPO Care VIP package valued at R9 000.
