McDonald's World Menu Heist
McDonald’s South Africa has introduced World Menu Heist, a limited‑time campaign that brings selected international menu items to local outlets.
The initiative allows South Africans to sample flavours from other countries before the items are returned to their markets of origin.
Lineup
The lineup includes the Spicy Korean BBQ from Korea, Philly Cheese Stack from the United Kingdom, Black Pepper and Garlic McNuggets from Japan, Chilli Cheese McFlavour Fries from Canada, and the Blue Hawaiian McFizz, inspired by tropical flavours.
These items have been chosen to reflect some of the more popular McDonald’s offerings abroad.
The campaign follows growing interest among consumers in international fast‑food trends, often shared through social media.

Global variations
By introducing these products locally, McDonald’s is tapping into that curiosity while testing how South Africans respond to global menu variations.
Keegan Alicks, Chief Marketing Officer for McDonald’s South Africa, said the company recognises that customers are increasingly aware of what is available in other markets.
“World Menu Heist allows us to bring some of those sought‑after tastes to South Africa and give our customers a chance to experience them for themselves,” he noted.
The World Menu Heist menu will be available at participating McDonald’s South Africa restaurants for a limited time only. The menu items are available while stocks last.
