Vodaworld
Easter might be over, but Vodacom is continuing with the joy by ushering in a new era of customer engagement with a first-of-its-kind Augmented Reality Easter Egg Hunt at Vodacom World in Midrand.
Scheduled from Wednesday, 22 April to Saturday, 25 April 2026, between 9am and 5pm daily, the event offers participants the chance to win their share of R250,000 in prizes.
The hunt
The hunt combines digital innovation with real-world exploration. Using augmented reality technology, visitors will search for virtual Easter Eggs while physically navigating Vodacom World.
Rewards include smartphones, tablets, laptops, televisions, gaming consoles, smart appliances, data bundles, and airtime, ensuring broad appeal across customer interests.
To build anticipation, Vodacom will release clues on its X, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok platforms, encouraging followers to plan strategically and maximise their chances of success.

Connections
For Vodacom, the initiative reflects a broader commitment to immersive, experiential engagement.
“This Easter Egg Hunt exemplifies our dedication to connecting with customers both digitally and physically,” the company said, positioning the event as more than entertainment—it is a showcase of how technology can deepen customer relationships.
Johannesburg residents, in particular, are invited to enjoy a festive, community-driven experience while competing for meaningful rewards.
Visitors
Vodacom World itself embodies this forward-thinking approach. As South Africa’s only technology and telecommunications mall, it features five-star event venues and showcases ecosystems from leading global brands including Samsung, Honor, Apple, Huawei, Oppo, Tecno, Vivo, and Xiaomi.
Visitors can relax at Mugg & Bean, explore the Business Experience Centre for B2B engagements, or make use of Connection Lab spaces designed for startups, flexi workers, and SMEs.
Adding convenience, the mall also hosts two Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations, allowing customers to recharge while they shop.
By merging festive fun, cutting-edge technology, and customer convenience, Vodacom World’s AR Easter Egg Hunt highlights the brand’s vision of engagement that is both innovative and inclusive.
